15 February 2012 AVL Hungary Technical Center plans a 30% human resource expansion in 2012. The Company represents the high-technology of development of automobile industry. The Hungarian subsidiary of a multinational company is growing continuously since its opening in 2002. Last year with a turnover of 8 Million Euro it employed more than 110 people in Budapest. This year the company intends to hire further skilled engineers. AVL Hungary Technical Center is mainly specialized in research and development services of combustion engines. In 2012 with expansion of human resources they plan to achieve a 30% increase of turnover. The continuously growing center is providing dozens of new positions for special skilled experts in the following areas: design, thermodynamic and structural analysis, software development, engine calibration and measurement systems. The company employs 111 persons, 90% of which are high-educated Hungarian engineers. The research & development activities of AVL Hungary Technical Center appear in all five continent’s passenger car, heavy-duty vehicle, construction machine or shipment industries. The technical innovations can also be found directly or indirectly in the passenger cars and commercial vehicles produced in Hungary. Even though the services produced here with help of Hungarian experts are mainly serving external markets, the company plans to emphasize a closer cooperation with the Hungarian subsidiaries of foreign vehicle manufacturers and suppliers. According to managing director, Dirk Janetzko the Hungarian universities offer such a profound knowledge for young engineers which the company is perfectly satisfied with. At two universities - Budapest University of Technology and Széchenyi István University in Győr – the company focuses on the support of development of education and research - in favour of monitoring the education progress of new engineer generations. „Cost-effective operation and the high quality of the human resource supply are the main arguments in support of operating and developing our company in Hungary.
